The next time you log in after you have set up two-factor authentication (2FA), you must enter your username and password, as well as the authentication code.
How often you must provide an authentication code when logging in again depends on what your company has decided. It may be every day, or the authentication may be remembered for a certain number of days before you need to authenticate with a code again. For example, it may be remembered for 7 days, 14 days, 30 days or 60 days.
Enter your username and password in the login window and click Log in.
.You will now see a dialog where you must authenticate using a code.
.Open the authentication app on your mobile to retrieve the code. This may look slightly different depending on which authentication app you use.
.Enter the code in the dialog shown in step 2. The code will be valid for 30 seconds before a new one is generated. This means that if you enter the code in step 2 but do not confirm it before a new code is generated, you will see a message stating that the code is invalid. You must then open the authentication app again to get the next valid code.
